I always take a good look around every site I publish about and with Plus size savings it isn’t all just in the name. They have a specials section, currently containing 47 items. The items on sale in the specials section were already at what looks like a very reasonable price ($24.99 mostly) but they have now been reduced to an attracted $14.95 (in most cases).

In fact, the more I look around the site I am seeing most of the items are reduced. The clothes have a nice simple style and there are also some more unusual clothes available such as corsets.

For the US and Canada clothing deals shipping costs is $1.97 and for the rest of the world its $5.99, which is not bad at all.

When it comes to finding the best deals for this type of clothing, I cannot recommend shopping on eBay any more. The site is bursting to the brim with alternative clothing from all over the world and there are so many cheap items. It has the ultimate variety and due to its global nature you can end up with a completely unique set of clothes – just what you want if you’re going for the alternative look.

Another tip which I read about in the Curvy Goddess’ post about plus size alternative clothing that hadn’t thought of, is to buy in bulk. Fashion changes so quickly. If you like the style of clothes that are ‘in’ and being produced by everyone and their gran, stock up!

Ok enough of my skinny related banter, on to the deals. I suggest checking out this search results pageon ebay. You can choose the exact size and it’s bound to be cheaper than almost all other places.

Take a look at this customized eBay search result page. Before you think ‘eBay! I’m not buying it from there it needs to look respectable!’, hear me out, or at least take a look. eBay isn’t just a rabble of people bidding for random objects anymore. You will see on that page there are 495 gowns (well there are at the time of writing). On the left you can choose the occasion it will be for from a selection including formal gown, cocktail, versatile and casual. They all have photos of course and many have a women modeling it, but the best thing about them is the price. They are so much cheaper than anywhere else. So, it might sound odd but give it a try and good luck bidding!

On Amazon its extra easy to narrow the search down to only showing plus size (using their options on the left) which is exactly what I’ve done here. These plus size gothic clothes have massive discounts, for example a $300 dress has been reduced to just $117 and there are lots of other discounts of similar proportions on less expensive items. In fact, there isn’t a single item on the page that doesn’t have a discount! That added to Amazons free 2 day shipping is a pretty good deal.

This page on Amazon has special deals on 6 stylish plus size dresses. All 6 have a significant price reduction and they all look fantastic. One of them even has a 5 star rating and I suggest you read the (very positive) reviews which give info advising whether to buy a size larger or not. In most cases if you do pick a size that isn’t quite right you can just exchange it for another size.

In my search for discounts I have found this white plus size ski jacket in a sale with 12% off. This is a jacket that feels soft on the inside and keeps out the cold and repels water. It doesn’t look bad at all either and its tough enough to resist getting scratched if you take a tumble.

The item has over $100 taken from its price. It’s black. It’s a leather lace up corset with G-string, and trust me when I say its sexy. In addition it has “Boning and Detachable Garters”, if I knew what that meant I probably wouldn’t be typing this, but it sounds good :p.

Quite why I start writing joke-filled post whenever a clothing item is sexy is beyond me. Perhaps its a defense mechanism… or an attack mechanism. Whatever.

I’ve found lots of urban clothing deals on Amazon.com and lots of their items come in plus size. They have hundreds of urban clothes for men and women (and juniors of course) and there are a good number of discounts to make it worth checking out. In fact I have my eye on a couple of their hoodies which I think would look good on me! They stock lots of brands so if you prefer to search that way you can pick your favourite brand and only look at their items.

I’ve stumbled upon some massive online deals where over 50% has been taken from the price. You can see such deals here. You will see there are a variety of different types of coats including trench coats, wool and also leather. All will help keep out the cold in winter.

Something I always forget when shopping for coats is to check how many pockets it has, don’t make the same mistake! Sometimes new coats have fake pockets that only look like a pocket but don’t actually open up so be sure to read in the description about this.
